What is Splice Skills?

Splice Skills is our library of exclusive, expert-led video tutorials on music production.

How do I get access to Splice Skills?

Full access to Skills is included with our Creator and Creator+ plans.

Can I check out Splice Skills without a paid subscription?

When you're on a free 14-day trial for either the Creator or Creator+ plan, you'll be able to preview Splice Skills and view a select number of videos. However, to access all of the lessons available in Skills, you'll need a paid Creator or Creator+ subscription.

I cancelled my Creator/Creator+ plan. How long will I have access to Skills?

You'll be able to continue watching lessons on Skills until the end of your current billing period.

Who are the instructors?

The instructors on Splice Skills are a group of experts in music production from a variety of backgrounds, including Ableton certified trainers and audio pros from Splice's team.

Can I download the project file that was created in a Skills video?

Yes - if a project file is available, you can download it by clicking the blue "download materials" button, underneath the video description.

Can I download lessons/videos to watch offline?

No - lessons can only be viewed on splice.com. Downloading videos from the website is not permitted.

What platforms can I watch Skills videos on?

Skills is currently only available on the splice.com website.

Can I watch Skills videos on my mobile browser on iOS/iPad/Android?

Yes - All of our Skills content is viewable on your mobile devices.

Do I need any specific software/plugins to get the most out of Skills?

Skills lessons cover techniques on a variety of DAWs and plugins. You can see which devices are used in a specific lesson under "Devices" on the main page for that lesson.

Why isn't the next video in a lesson auto-playing when one ends?
If you're using Safari, you'll need to manually enable this setting. Please see this article for how to do that:https://support.apple.com/guide/safari/stop-autoplay-videos-ibrw29c6ecf8/mac

What language are Skills lessons in? Why are there no translations or subtitles?

Unfortunately, Skills is only currently available in English. We can add subtitles and are planning on doing so in the future.
