If you do not have the Splice application installed, and are attempting to download a sample from the Splice website, you may receive this pop-up:
You'll need to install the Splice application to download samples, so select the Install the Splice app modal and an automatic download of the installer will begin. Visit our article on installing Splice here.
If you have the Splice desktop application installed, and are attempting to download a sample from the Splice website without the Splice desktop application open/launched, you may receive this pop-up:
You can still acquire samples while the Splice application is closed, but you'll need to sync them to the Splice application to view and utilize the content. Once you've downloaded the sample, you can navigate to the Splice application and select the cloud icon to next to the sample to sync it with the application, as shown in the screenshot below:
If you've followed the steps above, but are experiencing download issues, please try the following:
- Open Preferences (Gear Icon)
- Select QUIT SPLICE
- Relaunch Splice and make sure you are signed into the same account as the website.
