What are Rare Finds?

Rare Finds is a search filter that shows a programmatically curated selection of high-quality, underutilized sounds within the Splice catalog. The goal of this filter is to help users uncover high-quality, rarely-used samples so you can feel confident that your productions will sound unique.

How can I use the Rare Finds filter?

For users on a Creator or Creator+ plan, you can use the Rare Finds search filter while browsing and searching for sounds on Desktop and Web. A badge will show up next to sounds that are classified as “rare” while browsing.

You can either select Rare Finds while searching so all of your results fit into this criteria like so:

Alternatively, while you're scrolling, you can look for the Rare Finds badge under the sample:

How do I get access to Rare Finds?

This is a premium feature only available to active Creator and Creator+ subscribers.

If you are on a Sounds+ plan, or not currently subscribed to Splice, you will need to upgrade to an active Creator or Creator+ plan to take advantage of this feature: splice.com/splice-plans

How do I know if the sounds are still considered rare?

The Rare Finds filter is refreshed daily, ensuring anything we consider a rare find is active and up to date.

Are there any limitations to Rare Finds?

Currently, the Rare Finds search filter and badges are not shown in user’s Library, Likes, and Collections pages. Additionally, Rare Finds is not currently available on the Mobile app and can only be used on Desktop and Web. Stay tuned for updates on the Rare Finds filter to appear in more places!
