Splice Rent-to-Own Frequently Asked Questions

Why Is My Software License Not Working?

If your Rent-to-Own software gives you any error messages or limits functionality, and your payments for your Rent-to-Own software are up-to-date, you could be experiencing an issue with verifying the Rent-to-Own license. These steps should resolve the issue:

  1. Close out of the Splice Desktop App

  2. Close your DAW

  3. Relaunch Splice and log into the account with the active Rent-to-Own plan

  4. Open your DAW and launch the software

If you are still having issues, please close your DAW and reinstall the software directly from the Apps & Plugins section of the Splice app. We also recommend you reinstall the Splice app. You can get the latest install here: https://splice.com/download

Log out of your account and log back in. This will generate a new license. Then relaunch your DAW and your plugin.

How Do I Activate my Rent-to-Own Lifetime License?

If you have finished paying off your Rent-to-Own software, you can find your serial key here: https://splice.com/plugins/your-plugins. Please note, not all RTO software requires a serial key.
