Updated this week

First, please confirm if you are still renting your software or if you have paid it off here: https://splice.com/profile/plans

  • If you are still renting, the plan will say "Active."

  • If you are paid off, it will say "Owned."

Please scroll down and follow the instructions depending on your lease status:

I am still renting my software (Active)

If you are still renting your software and experiencing a licensing error, you could be having an issue with verifying the Rent-to-Own license. These steps should resolve the issue:

  1. Close out of the Splice Desktop App

  2. Close your DAW

  3. Relaunch Splice and log into the account with the active Rent-to-Own plan

  4. Open your DAW and launch the software

If issues persist:

  • Close your DAW and reinstall the software directly from the Apps & Plugins section of the Splice app.

  • We also recommend you reinstall the Splice app. You can get the latest install here: https://splice.com/download

  • Log out of your account and log back in. This will generate a new license.

  • Then relaunch your DAW and your plugin.
