Before you start
Make sure you are logged into your Splice account with a paid-off XLN Plugin (RTO) plan.
Once you've completed the Rent-to-Own lease for your XLN Audio plugin, you can find the serial number here: https://splice.com/plugins/your-plugins
Steps
Navigate to xlnaudio.com/register to register your license at XLN Audio's site.
You'll then download the XLN Online Installer and reinstall the XLN Audio plugin via the XLN Audio Installer.
You no longer need to have the Splice application running or an internet connection to use your XLN Audio Plugin.
Troubleshooting product key errors
These messages appear on xlnaudio.com when you register the product key.
“The product key is invalid”
The key wasn’t entered correctly. Copy and paste the product key directly from Your plugins on Splice. If you type it instead, turn on caps lock first.
“The product key has already been registered to this account”
The key has already been registered to the XLN Audio account you’re logged in to, so you don’t need to register it again. Open the XLN Online Installer and check the account shown in the top-right corner. If it doesn’t match the account shown on your XLN Audio profile page, log out of the installer and log back in with the matching account.
“The product key has already been registered”
The key is registered to a different XLN Audio account than the one you’re logged in to. This usually means you’ve created more than one XLN Audio account. Check your XLN Audio profile page to see which account you’re using, then log in with the account the plugin is registered to — on both xlnaudio.com and in the XLN Online Installer.
The plugin still isn’t authorized after registering
Open the XLN Online Installer and make sure it’s up to date. If the plugin shows a Splice label in the product list, the license is registered to a different XLN Audio account than the one you’re logged in to. Log out of the installer and log in with the account you used to register the key.
Still having trouble?
If you can’t remember which XLN Audio account you registered the key to, or you have plugins split across two XLN Audio accounts, contact XLN Audio Support and include your product key; they can locate the license or merge your accounts.
