Migrating to Splice INSTRUMENT from LABS

Updated this week

The migration flow for LABS users into Splice INSTRUMENT is as seamless as it can be. When you first open INSTRUMENT, it will populate automatically with your currently installed LABS content.

From there we recommend setting up your installation path so that all your content remains in one place: How to set the install location for Splice INSTRUMENT

Within your DAW, nothing will change. We do not want to break your existing projects, so they will all still load with the LABS plugin and will not be automatically replaced. This does mean that if you want to change an existing project to use INSTRUMENT, you'll need to manually replace the plugin on each track and load the corresponding preset.

Content that is installed from INSTRUMENT is not compatible with LABS. Any content installed from LABS after first opening INSTRUMENT will not be moved over. If you do install content from the LABS plugin that you then wish to port into INSTRUMENT, please contact the Splice Customer Experience team so that we can assist you with this process.
