Plugin Crashes:
If the plugin is fully crashing while in use then we would like to see a more detailed report of this information.
Please note that these instances are relatively rare, so if you're unsure if this is the right information please contact the Splice CX team before proceeding.
Windows:
From Windows users we will need to see a crash dump file (.dmp) which contains the needed information for debugging. These files include the date and time, and should match the time of the crash occurring. Often these are stored in different locations depending on the DAW you are using, it's best to consult your DAW's manual for this information.
If it can't be found, you may need to enable the ability to get Crash Dump Files. Please consult with the CX team before doing this, as it requires manually editing your system registry and may not be necessary for the crash.
macOS:
When a hard crash occurs you will get the option to "Report".
Click "Report" and copy the crash text shown below into a new TextEdit document. Ensure to scroll and capture the entire crash report from this error message window. Please save and send this Text document in the support case.
If you do not see the option to report or "Show Details" about the crash, you can gather the information from the Console instead.
