You can browse, preview, and add sounds from the Splice catalog without leaving Create. This article covers finding sounds, adding them to your project, and licensing them so they're yours to use.

Click Sounds to open the Splice catalog on the left side of Create. Choose a tab for the kind of sound you want: Loops, One-Shots, Packs, or MIDI patterns.
At the top of the catalog, switch between Search (the full Splice catalog), Library (sounds you've already added to your Splice library), and Stacks (Stacks you've saved).

Note: Packs can't be added to a song as a single item. Click a pack to open the pack and browse its samples. To use a pack's drum sounds as a kit, see How do I create MIDI patterns and drum beats?
Can I download presets in Create?
No. Presets can't be downloaded or licensed through Rheo or the Create app. To get Splice presets, download them from the Splice website, the Splice desktop app, or the Splice plugin, then load them in your plugins inside your Create projects.
Inside Create, Rheo can shape Serum and Synth patches by ear, or load built-in factory presets for you.
How licensing works in Create
When you add a Splice sample to your project, Create uses a preview of the sample until the sample is licensed. Licensing a sample adds the full-quality sample to your Splice library so it's yours to use in your music.
License samples automatically
Go to Settings → General and turn on License samples when you use them to license Splice samples as you use them in your project.
Note: Licensing is included with paid plans. On free plans, License samples when you use them is locked off, with an Upgrade to enable option beside the setting.
License samples manually
License samples in your project: Click the Unlicensed samples pill beside the master volume to see every unlicensed sample in your project. Click License next to one sample, or License all. Click a sample's name to find that sample on your timeline.
License a single clip: On a preview clip, choose Add to library for better quality. Create licenses the sample and swaps every matching preview clip for the full-quality WAV, keeping your edits.
Important: Add to library for better quality can't be undone with Cmd+Z.
What happens to unlicensed samples when you export
Unlicensed samples are silenced when you export. Before exporting, Create shows a licensing prompt so you can license the samples first. Learn more in How do I export music from Create?
