Once you've completed your Serum 1 or 2 Rent-to-Own payments through Splice, you can activate your lifetime copy of Serum 2 through Xfer Records.
Note: You don't need a serial number to activate Serum 2. Serum 1 serial numbers cannot be used to activate Serum 2. Instead, you'll authorize your license by signing in to your Xfer Records account.
Activate Serum 2 through the plugin
Open Serum 2 in your DAW.
On the authorization screen, select Authorize.
Your browser will open the Xfer Records login page.
Sign in using the Xfer Records account associated with your Rent-to-Own plan.
Once you've signed in successfully, your Serum 2 lifetime license will be authorized automatically.

Activate Serum 2 through Xfer Records
If you haven't installed Serum 2 yet, you can download it directly from Xfer Records.
Download Serum 2 from Xfer Records.
Install Serum 2 and open it in your DAW.
On the authorization screen, select OK to open the Xfer Records login page.
Sign in to your Xfer Records account to authorize your lifetime license.
Once authorized, you can begin using Serum 2 without an active Rent-to-Own subscription.
How to activate Serum 2 while offline
If your computer isn't connected to the internet, you can activate Serum 2 using an offline license file.
Install and launch Serum 2 on your offline computer.
Locate the Machine ID displayed on the Serum 2 authorization screen.
On a computer with internet access, sign in to your Xfer Records account and select Add Offline Authorization.
Enter the Machine ID from your offline computer and select Authorize.
Download the generated license file and transfer it to your offline computer.
Open Serum 2 and provide the downloaded license file through the authorization screen.
Once the license file is accepted, Serum 2 will be authorized on your offline computer.
