Splice's new Describe a Sound feature is now in the Desktop App, in addition to the Splice Sounds Plugin, allowing you find the perfect sample using natural-language descriptions.
You can type what you’re looking for—like “dark ambient pad with shimmer” or “tight 90s house hi-hat”—and the plugin will return samples that match your description.
To use it, simply toggle on Describe a Sound in the Splice Desktop App and describe your sound.
Current Limitations
Since Describe a Sound is in Beta, there are a few limitations to be aware of:
No sorting options
No shuffle feature
Maximum of 50 results per search
