After licensing a sample, you can use the Splice Sounds plugin to create Variations directly within your workflow. Follow the steps below to get started.
1. License and Sync the Sample
Before you can create variations, the sample must be both licensed and synced to your machine.
Click the + icon to the right of the sample to license it. This will spend a credit.
Once licensed, the icon will automatically change to a check mark if the file has synced successfully.
If you see a cloud icon, the sample is licensed but not yet synced. Click the cloud icon to download it. When syncing is complete, it will turn into a check mark.
2. Access the Variations Tool
After the sample is licensed and synced:
Hover over the sample within the plugin.
A blue sparkle icon will appear.
Click the icon and choose Create Variations.
The plugin will automatically create five unique variations of the sample.
3. Customize Your Variations
For more control over the output, you can:
Adjust the complexity of the harmony and rhythm.
Use Target key to define a specific set of pitches for your variation.
These options allow you to tailor the results to match your project.
4. Preview, Use, and Rate Your Variations
Once your variations are generated:
Preview each one directly in the plugin.
Drag and drop any variation into your DAW.
To locate the files on your computer, click the three dots next to any variation and select Go to folder.
Additionally, you can give each variation a thumbs up or down, which gives us signal on how we can improve this tooling.
