How do I load Splice presets into my plugins?

How to load presets from Splice into Splice INSTRUMENT, Serum 2, Serum, Massive, Sylenth1, Spire, Astra, Beatmaker, Vital and Phase Plant.

Most presets you download from Splice will show up in your plugin’s preset browser automatically, in a folder named Splice.

Sylenth1 and Spire are the exceptions: you load those presets from the plugin’s menu.

Splice INSTRUMENT works differently: you download and load presets inside the plugin itself.

Click your plugin below:

Splice INSTRUMENT

You download and load Splice INSTRUMENT presets inside the plugin. You don’t need to manage any files.

  1. Open the Discover tab and download a pack or individual presets.

  2. Click Load next to a preset.

Presets you’ve already downloaded are in the My Library tab. Learn more

Serum 1 / Serum 2

Serum presets from Splice appear automatically in the Serum 2 or Serum preset browser, under Splice.

  • Serum 2: Library/Audio/Presets/Xfer Records/Serum 2 Presets/Presets/Splice (Mac) or Documents\Xfer\Serum 2 Presets\Presets\Splice (Windows) [VERIFY]

  • Serum: Library/Audio/Presets/Xfer Records/Serum Presets/Presets/Splice (Mac) or Documents\Xfer\Serum Presets\Presets\Splice (Windows)

Serum 2 can open all Serum presets, but Serum 1 can’t open Serum 2 presets. Learn more

Astra

Astra presets will automatically download to Astra's preset folder. Depending on whether you're on Mac or PC, Astra presets will download to one of these locations:

Mac: Macintosh HD/Users/[your username]/Library/Application Support/Splice/Astra/Presets/From Splice

Windows: C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Splice\Astra\Presets\From Splice

This means it will also show up in Astra's preset browser automatically - you don't need to do anything else to start using your downloaded presets in Astra. You can open them up through the "from Splice" folder in Astra's preset browser:

Beatmaker

Presets will automatically download to Beatmaker's preset folder. Depending on whether you're on Mac or PC, Beatmaker presets will download to one of these locations:

Mac: Macintosh HD/Users/[your username]/Library/Application Support/Splice/Beatmaker/Presets/From Splice

Windows: C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Roaming\Splice\Beatmaker\Presets\From Splice

This means they will also show up in Beatmaker's preset browser automatically - you don't need to do anything else to start using your downloaded presets in Beatmaker.

You can then open those presets under the "Downloaded on Splice" section in Beatmaker's preset browser:

Vital

Vital presets from Splice appear automatically in Vital’s preset browser, under Splice.

  • Mac: Users/[your username]/Music/Vital/Splice/Presets

  • Windows: Documents\Vital\Splice\Presets

Phase Plant

Phase Plant presets from Splice appear automatically in Phase Plant’s preset browser, under User → From Splice, organized by pack.

  • Mac: Users/[your username]/Library/Audio/Presets/Kilohearts/Phase Plant/User Presets/From Splice

  • Windows: Users\[your username]\Documents\Kilohearts\presets\Phase Plant\User Presets\From Splice

Massive

Massive presets from Splice appear automatically in Massive’s file browser, under Sounds → Splice.

  • Mac and Windows: Documents/Native Instruments/Massive/Sounds/Splice

Sylenth1

Sylenth1 doesn’t add Splice presets automatically. To load one, select an empty preset slot first, then choose Load Preset from the Sylenth1 menu. Loading a preset into a slot that’s already in use replaces that preset.

  • Mac: Macintosh HD/Users/[your username]/Library/Application Support/LennarDigital/Sylenth1/Presets/Splice

  • Windows: Documents\LennarDigital\Sylenth1\Presets\Splice

Spire

Spire doesn’t add Splice presets automatically. To load one, click Menu → Load Preset (.spf) in Spire and open the Spire folder in your Splice folder.

  • Mac: Splice/presets/Spire

  • Windows: Documents\Splice\presets\Spire

Tip: To browse all your Splice presets inside Spire, load several presets into a blank bank (Menu → Select Bank → init), then use Menu → Save Bank and Menu → Import Bank.

Still not seeing your preset?

  • Restart your DAW. Most plugins check for new presets only when they open.

  • If you moved your plugin’s preset folder, Splice saves presets to your main Splice folder instead. Move them into the plugin’s preset folder.
