1. What’s happening between Splice and Spitfire Audio?
Splice is acquiring Spitfire Audio! This partnership brings together two industry leaders with a shared mission: to empower music creators with the best tools, sounds, and technology to bring their ideas to life.
2. Will Spitfire Audio go away or become “Splice”?
Not at all. Spitfire Audio will continue to operate under its own name, brand, and distinct product experience—remaining dedicated to crafting world-class instruments and iconic soundscapes. We believe Spitfire Audio’s identity is essential to what makes it great—and we’re here to amplify it. That said, we’ll be working on future products that combine the best of both platforms.
3. What does this mean for Splice users?
This is just the beginning. Over time, you’ll see new creative tools that blend Spitfire’s cinematic depth and orchestral realism with Splice’s rich sample library and AI-powered discovery engine. From the perfect drum loop to a lush string quartet, your creative palette is about to get a lot wider.
4. What about pricing—will anything change?
No immediate changes are planned. Both companies will continue to develop new products and pricing models, and we’ll always communicate any updates in advance.
5. Will my Splice login now work on Spitfire Audio? Or vice versa?
For now, logins for Splice and Spitfire Audio remain separate. We’ll share updates as that changes in the future.
6. Will Spitfire Audio products be available through Splice?
Some products will be available soon through our Rent-to-Own program, making it easier for music creators to own and access these incredible instruments.
7. Will LABS or LABS+ be part of my Splice subscription?
We’re excited about this one. LABS and LABS+ are incredibly powerful tools, and we’re exploring ways to increase access and visibility through Splice in the future. Stay tuned.
8. I’m a Spitfire Audio user—does anything change for me?
Rest assured that nothing will change to Spitfire Audio’s beloved sample libraries or LABS (both free packs accessible to all and paid packs via LABS+). Spitfire Audio will continue to release new products at the high quality you’ve come to love and expect. Behind the scenes, we’re working together on new ideas that will benefit both communities.
9. Will this change how I use LABS or LABS+?
Nope. Everything remains the same for now. But we’re looking at opportunities to bring even more value and community engagement around these tools over time.
10. What does this mean for the future of music creation?
This partnership marks a new era. Together, Splice and Spitfire Audio will create the most complete and forward-thinking toolkit for modern music makers—whether you’re discovering a loop, crafting a score, or pushing boundaries with AI-assisted tools. From bedroom beatmakers to Oscar-winning composers, we’re building the future of sound—together.
