All Splice users who have leased or are currently leasing Serum are eligible for a free upgrade to Serum 2
Step 1: Check Your Lease Status
First, confirm whether you are still renting Serum or if you have fully paid it off by visiting: https://splice.com/plugins/plans/serum
If you have paid off Serum, it will say "Owned."
If you are still renting, the plan will say "Active."
Find your lease status, then follow the instructions below:
I have paid off Serum (Owned)
If you have fully paid off Serum, follow these steps to upgrade to Serum 2:
When you started your Serum lease, an Xfer account was automatically created using your Splice email address.
Please do NOT create a new account as one already exists with your Splice lease.
Follow the instructions here to access your Xfer Records account.
Log in to your Xfer Records account: Xfer Records Login
Download Serum 2 from this page: Serum 2 Download
Install and launch Serum 2.
In the splash screen, click the "OK" button to log into your Xfer account again and authorize the plugin.

I am still renting Serum (Active)
If your Serum lease is still active, you can install Serum 2 directly from the Splice Desktop App. During your lease, you will have access to both Serum and Serum 2.
Important: Ensure you are using the latest version of the Splice Desktop App to access Serum 2. You can download the latest version here: Splice Download.
